Richard Bryan Wright Badger

 

Richard (Rick) Badger was born in Montreal, Quebec and spent much of his young life overseas.

He studied under renowned watercolour artist Renate Heidersdorf for many years. This experience eventually pushed Rick to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Major in Art Education) at Concordia University.

Rick went on to obtain a Master of Social Work from McGill University. After graduation, he worked as a social worker in Ottawa, Ontario for several years before making the transition to the federal public service.

He is is currently employed at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada where he uses his creative thinking and people skills to lead technology projects.

Rick recently enjoyed a one year sabbatical during which time he worked at the Canada Council for the Arts in the Arts Granting Program. He is more committed to his artistic and teaching practices than ever.
